Dressed for the Photographer
Dressed for the Photographer : Ordinary Americans and Fashion, 1840-1900 (This book is very expensive and not always helpful for the beginner, some alternatives are: American Victorian Costume in Early Photographs by Priscilla Harris Dalrymple; Victorian and Edwardian Fashion : A Photographic Survey by Alison Gernsheim; and there is a book by a genealogical company with hundreds of photos to use for dating other photos by fashion, but I can't remember where I saw it. If you know of this book, please tell me.
To Our Children's Children
To Our Children's Children : Preserving Family Histories for Generations to Come (A good introduction to writing a family memoir, not specifically for heritage albums.)
